Lucky Un1tec Barrels.

The selling point of these barrels is that they found a way to combine the positive characteristics of a single piece barrel, but by changing the back piece each barrel can be used on different markers.

Also the price is pretty inexpensive compared to other boutique brands out there right now.

I'm putting together a Sniper, and I'm juggling between SLY & Stiffi composite barrels because of the weight and the CF coolness. But since Lucky has brought to market a barrel that's lite, accuracte, and cheap I'm heavily leaning towards a single back and three barrel from Lucky plus pocketing a little bit of money to boot.

The only probs for me is that the Un1tec barrels only come in 14" and I wish there was a bit more variation in color choices (green, brown, olive, grey, etc. etc.)

Fantastic idea. I've wondered why someone hadn't done this sooner. But, the thing that puzzles me is their selection of bore sizes. 0.685, 0.689, 0.693, 0.696 ? Has Lucky paintball found some source of ultra giant paint that they aren't telling us about ? Is the .696 barrel for shooting ground paint ?

Everyone I know is struggling to find barrels with bores smaller than .684.

Edit: Also, the barrel back looks like a sex toy.

Some batches of paint come big, sometimes it's humid out, sometimes people with guns that don't have bore dependent rollout simply want to overbore.

You think THAT looks like a sex toy? A CP Back I could see, a CCM pump handle, I could see... lol

Yah, in sizing my new kit to my RPS Premium I found it fits the .682 just right while falling through the .685.

Speedball has a lot of 'splainin' to do ....

My understanding is that the Electro guys use large bore barrels.
This helps reduce barrel breaks & since most are not closed bolt, the balls are held in place with detents. Roll outs are not as detremental to them also, as they have 22 other balls coming right behind that missed one per second.

Cocker and pump players rely on the barrel holding the balls in place.
Plus we aim and many of us use limited amounts of paint.
If we get a roll out, it puts a hurtin' on our game.

Hmm, I like those barrels, and the price is a lot less than I expected to see. Now the question begs, how good is it?

I doubt their honing is anything like lapco or even dye.

Most new items are designed with speedballers in mind.
They typically like longer barrels to indent the bunkers.
This way, they can still be covered and shoot.

I like 12" barrels with minimal porting. Everything seems to have porting on 80% of the tube.
