it was awesome. great action, great story, definitely packs alot for a seasoned Trekkie. they changed alot of stuff, but its still star trek at its core. you will love it. and for the noobs, everyone we went with tonight loved it. said the action was good, and the story worked even if they didn't understand how it fits in with the rest. |

My Brother in Law is the biggest Trekkie I know. . . I mean that over feet tall works construction, hes a BIG Dude. . . and he was a bit Heart Broken. He said and I quote "Its not my Enterprise!" This is from a guy who can quote you "The Nay Sayers Guide to Star Trek" by page and sentence from memory. He also cried when I gifted him my jersey from the first Shatner game. So if seeing it caused him to go out afterwords and drink I am not sure what my reaction will be. LOL

Looks like a good movie, those that would complain about it would complain about ay movie but the one they made, at least, IMO.

As a guy that has been viewing for years as well as owning the complete episode list of the original Trek, I cant wait to see this. I have seen every trek show and movie, this will be a good thing to see. With all the "origins" movies coming out, it is going to be odd for all of us to see the original plots change. Like one newspaper stated, "This isn't your fathers Star Trek"
