Well, See, mine is unregulated. Straight Co2. It actually Started Fluxuating when I popped a PE 45/45 tank on there for winter play.

I believe you, don't worry. I've seen some stock carbines with very consistent velocities on regular co2 tanks.

Fantastic pieces.

Is the pro/carbine the same as the .68 carbine? I know tippman made two markers with "Carbine" in the name.

Do you pronounce it "bean" or rhymes with "twine"?

I wish I could even get +10/-10 consistency...

NO not the same. Its an amalgamation of the "prolite" of yore and the "carbine". The prolite had the integrated asa and airline/trig guard combo and many of the parts were interchangable. Tippmann really hates making these guns and has been trying to dump them since forever.

68 carbine and procarbine aren't the same, but there's very little difference. They operate identically. The difference is in how the feedneck attaches.

What about the MiniLite, I liked the duel tanks on those.

I would choose the 68 over the procarbine, both good markers, but just something about that 68, the way it felt and shot won me over

68 carbine and procarbine are almost identical. they operate identically to each other. A 68 carbine has the site rail along the entire body, and the feedneck slides onto the siterail. On the procarb, the siterail was milled off in front of the ballport(like the prolite) so the foregrip/feedneck could slide on. Besides that and the writing, they were identical.

Some early 68 carbines had a different valve, they're generally the ones with the hardline instead of the ss braided lines.

I had one of those early 68 Carbines . . . and it worked like a champ till that older design valve took a dump. Tippmann customer service upgraded the gun to the later valve design. A few months later that same paintgun had a dramatic failure in its bolt - sadly at an indoor field when I plugged a guy from about 3ft away. I felt so bad, the guy dropped like he'd been shot for real, and one helluva bruise. We tried chronoing the gun and it wouldn't shoot paint. Thats when we realized what had happened. Tippmann replaced the whole paintgun then, they didn't have to but they did.

I've always had a fondness for that design. Even with having had some "issues" with my early production one, I found them to be really solid.

I dropped a R/t in my procarb awhile back and use it as my "speedball" gun. The looks I get when it rips off into full auto are hilarious.

I Have one of the devilish step children of the design, the tippman F/A with its select fire. I love the gun to death, and like KT and his R/T procarb, people just dont know what to do when it rips off with full auto, and because of the star feeder it can keep up a good burst at 15 BPS.

The Secondary sears to control the hammer can be a little touch but its such a fun gun.
