Magic Box Mag, $160 shipped!

Hey all! I'm selling a rare Smart Parts Magic Box Automag. Everything is there, and it's freshly rebuilt, no leaks.

It looks almost like someone tried to install a site rail at some point (shown in picture), but it won't affect performance (I'm sorry, I thought I'd mentioned this already).
This gun looks pretty good. It has a 32 degrees .45 frame and vertical adapter on it, ANS wraparound grips, a nickel plated rail, Shocktech small drop forward, and a Dye foregrip.
It currently has red microline, or I can install ss braided line. Buyer's choice. Post or pm. Money orders only.

Any questions, just ask. I will be as complete and thorough as possible.

Update 1/16/10: Marker now has a black vert adapter, because the silver 32 degrees shown in the pic leaks. I'll throw in the other one in case the buyer has better luck than I do!

I don't know much about Mags. So what does "The Magic Box" do, different than a regular Mag?

Magic Box valves have an "expanded" air chamber (they did this by tapping into the air chamber and threading a brass tube in it, sealing it up, and covering it with a cosmetic box), which allows for more volume with lower pressure behind the ball. It was marketed back in the day as a mod that would increase your range over stock.
Whether it actually helps or not is inconclusive, but Smart Parts would tell you that it'll make you fly. The thing is, it's not an off-the-shelf modification. A person would have to send their valve to them to get this done.

That's the short of it. I've got like 5 pages of testing and reviews for it, and no two of them agree.

lol as said above, its a huge debate/smart parts bashing topic... but in theory yes, it was supposed to make it shoot farther... which if you are using C02 you can kind of achieve this by tilting it forward in turn putting some more C02 into the "magic box" and in turn giving you a boost of velocity
