It depends on the Barrel, but 016, 017 or 018 should work for just about any barrel. I would go w/ 017 for most barrels; it will be a little small (ID) but it will hold on tightly to the barrel due to being a little stretched on bigger barrels. I use this size on all my Cocker barrels
