Will the thin walled barrel tube fit inside the reeded barrel? The sizes are the same, but is .750 the smallest ID or the biggest?

The thin wall barrel tubing will NOT fit into the reeded tubing. The reeded tube is ~.685 ID. The reeds make it a little tighter. I understand what you want. It will not work the way you want it to, I am sorry to say.

Unfortunately, the next size larger in reeded tube is too big to be useful.

Okay, just wondering. So where did the .750 ID come from? Is that the widest part?

The reeded tubing is .75 OD. Did I post it somewhere as something else? If so, I need to go back and correct it.

The .875 OD x .75 ID is the direct feed/Sterling valve tube. The .812 OD x .756 ID is the ammo/feed tube.

You *might* be able to slide the reeded tube into the direct feed or ammo tube. I know that the thinwall barrel tube will slide into both tubes. I guess you could use the either tube to make a Freak capable Sheridan marker.

No worries... I like questions. I hadn't thought of the Freak thing until your question jogged my brain. I might have to try that out. I think I can even use a standard tap and die, and make the tips from brass... Now that would look cool!

One more project to add to the nearly endless list.

You can produce a reeded barrel... That is why I purchased the tube in the first place. I haven't gotten around to experimenting with it, yet.

The ID of the reeded tube is smaller that .688, but I'm not sure how much smaller. I will measure it in the next few days, and post something back here.

I do know that you would have to make a custom bolt, and do some machining to the breech section of the tube to make sure that paint can get into the breech area easily. Beyond that, I haven't had the time to sit down and experiment with it.
