Custom made sight hoods- Made out of 12 grams!

Well, About an hour ago, I was really bored, and looking through my paintball stuff. I saw a 12 gram, and spawned a great idea! Why not make a sight hood, a part that is usually 20 or so dollars, for almost free?! About an hour and a lot of dremeling later, I have this!

So, I thought to myself: I'm a paintballer. I'm poor. I can't buy fancy sight hoods, so, why not share my new discovery with other poor paintballers? I decided that I would make sight hoods, and sell them for a fraction of the cost of a "nice" one!

It does take about 45 minutes to make one of these, so I think It would be fair to charge around 4 bucks for each sight hood.

If you want one, let me know how long you want it (up to 6 cm)

Thanks!
-Sam

I made something similar on a lathe. I was just looking for materials to practice on.

Cool. I did the same thing with a peice of an Automag powerfeed that I had cut off for a warp.

It shouldn't take you 45 minutes. Just do the majority with a dremel cut off tool, and then square off the sides with a basic hand file. It's amazing what you can get done with old school hand tools. With practice it should take you about 5 minutes.
