And they aren't garbage, they're just a niche thing, either you love the coolness factor of them or you don't, loved my buddy's Goblin lol, they're pretty nifty with First Strike, but I'll admit the shells are a bit finicky, but I'd imagine dealing with velocity limits with no means of adjustment isn't a walk in the par to design.

.68 cal....So far I've only shot the RAP4 powder rounds out of it and was getting max velocity of 176 fps...would probably be higher with paintballs.Hard part is getting a proper charge on the shells

All you need to do the basic conversion is to remove 2 set screws,4 rubber plugs and 2 aluminium inner barrels (Takes about 30 seconds) and take a 12 gauge shotgun honing brush and brush the crap out of the barrel.......The next step that I'm working on is getting the barrels rebored and sleeved as the barrels themselves are not very smooth and have some casting flaws

I have a question of whether or not you can replace the shell with a freak insert, to increase the size of the barrel. If you can, would the velocity be too high for the safe limits? ( More time to accelerate)

Yes, a freak insert will fit, and no it will not increase the velocity, you will actually see a slight decrease because the tiny little volume of air now has to push the ball through 6" of barrel instead of 3".

So... did you get a slightly more useable range by doing this, or is it just for looks?

I got a little more accuracy. I also like to put two or three paintballs in it, getting a scattershot effect.

I never though of doing that... so many posibilities with that launcher.
If you stacked the shots, were you getting enough force for the balls to break though?

Just got 2 goblin solo's (used) and I have 2 problems i hope to solve.

1. one of my cartridges takes alot harder trigger pull to fire over my other's (I have 7 in total) is this common? ideas to fix it?
2. one of my charging adapters (I got one with each gun) don't work, when i put it on my CO2 tank it doesn't depress the valve to supply gas I used it with a 12g adapter an it will charge my cartridges, its not a big deal but thought I would mention in the off chance there is a simple fix for it.
