Aura - High Performance Paintball Marker

Has anyone shot one of these yet? I was pretty excited to see them when they were first announced, but then they fell off the radar. Kinda in the market for a new toy and I was hoping for a review from someone...

I was wondering about this also. Mokal guns I have seen before were all high quality.

The manual made me giggle. Wish they had just hosted a PDF like most everyone else.

All in all...definitely looks like an interesting marker. Definitely an odd spot for a safety.

Honestly, the lack of a PDF manual to see the internals in better detail and the very "Billy Mays" feel of the site were making me uncomfortable as a potential buyer...

To be fair, Mokal's been around for a fairly long time and they've got a decent reputation for building solid but simple markers. Their "Billy Mays" site aside, you shouldn't feel like you're being hustled. They're good quality and they're made in Canada, not China.

From watching the video of the battery install

I could see a clapper noid. Initially this was a little off-putting since the first thing that came to mind was a sear tripper, but the rest of it looks like a spoolie. I'd be really interested in seeing a manual with diagram as well.

Its spool gun, not a sear tripper. the "clapper" solenoid is used to move an air valve. the choice of going with the "clapper" style is because it is more robust, and can be manufactured in house.
I talked to them Monday, and asked him to put a shooting video up on the site, so keep checking.
Mokal is not the kind of company to release a marker , then say "you will need this upgrade kit to make it work properly" , so there have been some changes made to the marker before he is willing to start releasing them. The bolt and board have been upgraded from the proto-type.

If anything the clapper noid makes me like the gun more. I completely forgot about it until I spotted this thread, can't wait to get some more info on it.
