A Gator AND central vacuum? Oh, how I envy you Don :)

They are neat guns... I have one with a stubby 4 inch barrel. Some how it shoots over 300fps and is loud as hell.

I need to tweak the detent on this one - it kept multiple feeding and making a mess.

I did manage to score some eliminations with it today though! I added a front pistol grip to it. heh, something about holding it just makes me smile. It was a hoot to play with, I just need to tweak a few things on it

the central vac sucks, and not in the useful way. I took down all the hardware in the garage for it because all it did was get in the way.

the trigger pull is long. not terribly heavy at all . . . just long

I wish, among things like someone inventing a tv or audio/visual viewing device that can also communicate odors scents and smells in a similar way, I also wish I could somehow feel what that trigger pull is actually like in practice through the interwebs... all the double action guns (two different ones of the brass eagle variety) had long and really hard/nasty pulls, so you've peaked my interest with your gator's trigger pull!

IMHO, equivalent to walking across the Sahara. Twice.

if I had a gauge to measure the pull weight for you, I would

based on my experience with real steel and revolvers I would rate the pull weight on the Rapide to be in the 8lb range or so . . . that is an approximation, mind you. and that is a pretty mild double action pull weight

the engineering of the trigger mechanism of the rapide trades length of pull for weight of pull - honestly, I think they balanced it just about perfectly
