Carmatech Engineering SAR12

Hey guys

I'm new here and just thought I'd throw up some pictures of my new SAR12

I have not shot it yet but will be soon. It weighs in at 9.3LB loaded with optics and is just over 42" long.

I painted it tan and added the muzzle break from my Marksman barrel. Currently fitted with a Excalibur crossbow scope for use with projectiles with a high arcing trajectories.

Enjoy

Very nice man. I like the sar12 but the stock is so low that with a adjustable riser puts the scope up to high

hmm thats odd. From what I have seen from other SAR12 users you do not need an adjustable riser if your using a crossbow scope. With a rifle scope you do need the riser from my understanding

Carmatech was getting shots out to 80-100 yards with no adjustable riser

One of my team mates has used this gun and from his experience shooting "iron sights" or down the side was the only way he could get eliminations in a game. You may want to try iron sights or a red dot. Unless you will plan on really playing the sniper role in a area with a lot of cover and have a friend that can spot and range your targets it will be better in my opinion to go with a non-magnified site. The gun seems to run better in bolt action also for consistency anyways. Have fun with it and practice, practice, practice.

Thnx for the info

When using a scope your effectiveness really comes down to how you have it dialed in and what range you plan on using, magnification plays a big role to.

My scope goes down to 2X magnification so not allot different than a red dot.

Fist Strike rounds have a very large arc. if you have your scope dialed in past 50 yards you must be ready to do compensation at both close and long ranges. When engaging close targets you have to remember your rounds will be hitting above of your zero.

there is one for sale already in the BST section. says he hasn't shot this one yet so may be difficult to determine shot count.
