They've gravitated towards me over time. I picked one up locally, one in a cheap cocker ebay package, another was broken until I replaced the insides and another I bought at the going price on MCB which is about $50 for one in excellent condition. If you want one, just throw a WTB ad up and I'm sure someone will respond.

Nice - who made that one? I'd really like to try out one of the longer models like that, I bet they are very effective.

Oh, it is especialy on my tracer, it also really quiets down my mag, personaly I'd love to try one as long as mine, but fatter. Also Im not quite sure who the manufacture was, but I like the design alot, it all comes apart nice and easy for cleaning, you can even take off the front section while the part that slips onto the barrel stays in place. Its nifty .

I'm loving the 10oz and long barrel look.

In that same tradition, here's mine on my 68 Special.

It's also great on my SL-68 II, but I can't find the pictures I had of it with the 'raincover' on it.

This sucker's electrical, but I need a nuclear

I have several raincovers I made myself from some PVC piping. I know some members have been skeptical of them but I use nothing but co2 on all my guns. It significantly reduces sound. But as Russ stated you have to have a very tight fit to the barrel. Also the barrel extension inside and the exterior cover also has to be air tight or the pressure blows out the cracks and still allows a loud report. The best packing I have found on all my covers is music room insulation. It is wall insulation made specifically for deadening sound in music studios. This stuff deadens sound perfectly.

C5TEK - does that actually work on the 98? I haven't been able to silence open bolt guns very well.

I'm still working on making homemade covers. Haven't had too much success so far. I made the internal volume too small and they didn't do much.

Alot of people have had problems with them, but I've had fun turning mine into a reliable primary. I'm hearing from some people that RAP4 is addressing some of the issues from the factory now, but they'll have to do quite a bit to make up for the tarnished reputation.

Anyone notice the Nelspot bolt handle? It's all about the subtle things.
rap4 is not the manufactuer its APS rap4 is the dealer (so cant see them fixing any of the issues)
