Odyssey RPM marker

I have recently equired one and have tried to to find reviews on the internet from other people with them,...... but I cant find any and since MCBers know all i came here to ask:
"What were your opinions of this marker/recommended upgrades/facts
Any opinions will be apreciated
(please tell me if I should paste this somewere else)

also
is the odyssey company even still alive or has it died out? I went to the website on the side of the box the marker came in and it doesnt exsist anymore.

we had 1 for a while. We had to sand a round concave into the front of the bolt because it broke balls. after that it worked fine.

remove one detent and that should help with ball breaks, I've shot at least 4 cases through my RPM after removing one detent and I have had no breaks. The first thing you could upgrade is the barrel, the stock one is actually decent (hard to believe, i know) but it lacks accuracy at longer ranges. It's a/c threaded. you could also add a foregrip or vertical regulator, with a new version RPM it pretty easy as the hole for the grip is threaded 1/8" npt, but with the old style RPMs it's metric and you need to fabricate an adapter. for example a direct PPS Stab will fit perfectly in a new style RPM, as well as a 32* vertical adapter. The new style could also use a qev (the old style has one factory installed), any autococker or ION qev will work. It can also take wrath boards like the t-board or virtue, but some users have reported compatibility issues with these boards. On the old version I'd also replace the ram with a delrin one from Paintball Guns and Gear from Alamo City Paintball, any of the parts made for the wrath (not the wrath ltd.) will work.

there is a brass 90* fitting forward of the lp valve, BE CAREFUL WITH THAT! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE IT AS IT IS EXTREMELY WEAK/EASY TO BREAK AND IS HARD TO REPLACE. trust me...

there are several ways to distinguish between old and new style RPMs
1. bolt/ram: the old style RPMs have aluminum rams and white delrin bolts, new style have delrin rams and black bolts
2. board: the old style RPM boards uses dipswitches to change modes and has a single button on the outside of the frame, the new style RPM uses dip-shunt shorting jumpers to change modes and has two external buttons.
3. feedneck: in general the old style RPM comes with a twist-lock clamping feedneck and the new style comes with a regular clamping feedneck
4. ram cap: the old style uses a muti piece design with a cap + cover and qev, the new style has a one piece ram cap.
5. qev: the old style has a qev (under the ram cap), the new doesn't

I recommend using dow 33 (sl33k preferably) to lube it.

Yes but it only cost you $50, a stab is gonna cost you more than the marker did.
