| mokal aura does anyone no anything about the mokal aura, I saw it and liked that it had autococker barrel threads (over a vs2), and I also liked that it was stacked tube (over an slg). I'd think that it would be more reliable and simpler to maintain than an electropneumatic. Does anybody now how good the air effeciency is, cause I play with a 45/45 and would like at least 800 shots. Also is there anything funky about it that I need to know.

| From my understanding the Aura is a STBB (Stacked Tube Blow Back) the same as any electro spyder. The reason they're more expensive is I believe they're manufactured in Canada unlike many other Spyder clones and are held to higher tolerances and standard of quality. Just like any STBB most problems could be fixed by a new cupseal or some oil. I've never ran air on a blowback but the Aura runs at about 50 psi lower than a Spyder VS2 so you could expect 800 shots pretty easily. If you're looking for a STBB with many modes a clamping feedneck and magnetic trigger they're definitely the height of their design. They'll keep up with anything out there at legal speeds, but IMO for a little more money you could step up a level technology wise. Hope this helps, Penguin |

| I have several Mokal markers and have been very happy with their performance ove rthe years. I have a bunch of mirages i used as field rentals that even after years of abuse still work great.

| I really just want a marker that's simple to maintain, and I saw a kit on actionvillage that came with a 47/3k for $200, I'm gonna be playing renagade ball mostly this summer and so having a 45/45, and 2 47/3k's would give me close to a case easily. I'll play with my sniper for a while to save money and decide if I wan't to spend more money on pump instead of semi, plus I'm trying to by an xbox and a new rack for my punching bag and that will cost quite a bit.

| the slg is not electro-pneumatic. its mechanical. its a sear tripper, just like an Eblade on a cocker. very very reliable and easy to maintain. i would recommend it over the aura. plus with the SLG, you get dye's great customer support. read my review in the MCB reviews it section for further info. |

Why? Mokal has always been good on customer support for me. I don't see why you need to go Dye and support the made in china/taiwan crap. the Aura is made right here in north america; to give you an idea of the reliability, i use a Mokal Titan as a backup for my Automags....

| We use Mokal Focus and Auras as rentals. The Fokus is a direct spyder clone (albeit better construction) and the Aura is similar in design and function to a Bushmaster 2k series. Again, much better construction quality and warranty than their respective counterparts. Even a refurbed one will perform well. |

| I ended up getting a spyder rs because it was a good deal at the local shop (truepaintball), and Jeremy rewarded my purchase by giving me a pretty nice little spyder backpack, so I think I came out all right, I'm just having some minor issues with the board, but for now I works great, carefull though, out of the box a fitting leaked, we just took it off and taped it up and It works great now, the on-off asa is a nice feature.
