| Ridin' The ShortBus | funny, I was going to talk with one of the guys from Coyote Kisses. Side note though, is there a site that describes all this to us older guys, no idea what the difference between dubstep and trance and whatever else there is out there. Cheers

In my opinion the most popular genres are Drum and Bass (DnB), Hard Dance (more specifically Hardstyle), Dubstep, Electro, Electronica, Eurodance, House, Techno, and Trance. There's multiple genres and sub-genres that I didn't list that are popular like J-pop, but those are the ones people will be more likely to know by name. There's also a ton of new sub-genres that are coming out (like Moombahton and Brostep) that may be popular in coming years. A label by the name of Monstercat has playlists on YouTube that are sorted by genre (they're even color coded ) if you want to listen to some of them.

Yeah, I'm still confused by most of them. Just the other day I say something listed as "drumsteptro" or something which I'm assuming is a cross between DnB, Dubstep, an Electro. Made no sense, but it wasn't very good anyways so I left right quick.

Skream! (2006) and Diary of an Afro Warrior (2008). by Skream and Benga respectively. Good simple, bass-heavy beats that dubstep started out on.
