I more of a metal guy. But there is some electronic dance stuff by this one artist, Delta 9, out there that I respect. Mostly for its ability to scare the **** out of the small minded. Metal head friend of mine turned me onto it. I don't know anything about the genre but I've heard this referred to as gabber and hardcore.

This one I call "babies in a grinder" music. He mixes in a lot of samples of horror movie screams. I think it's awesome. Couple of my friends wanted me committed. Some may want to leave the room.

This one is just heavy.

Manual Labor: All you need is your hand. Just pump.

Old Wood: If it can give you splinters or can club a moose to death.

Detachment Bravo,

Yep that's gabber alright. The genre's been around a while with deep roots in Netherlands. There's a plethora of Gabber dj's artists out there if you're interested. The label "Masters of Hardcore" is pretty much gabber only and they've got some great's though I'd be remiss if I failed to mention the Rotterdam Terror Corps.

I've listened to a great variety of music over the years & the one common denominator for most of it is it's electronic. I appreciate dubstep and this thread's great for exposing some lesser known artists but I am and always will be a rivethead though so share some more dubstep why don't you all.

Good to know. I had a feeling it wasn't dubstep.

Debating the finer points of the differences between the metal subgenres, i.e. black, death, doom, drone, goregrind, etc., I'm there. Electronic, no idea.

Excuse the diversion

I categorize electronic pretty simply...

Techno
Electronic
House
Trance
Dubstep

All Of these have a bunch of Subgenres of their own, but these are the main types.

I don't think so... I always copy after "v=" and it usually works. Sometimes embedding won't work.
