This thread brings back a ton of memories of my misbegotten youth.

I'll throw in that while NIN isn't industrial, the roots definitely are, with Trent Reznor in 1000 homo DJ's with Al Jorgensen, et al.

I'll dig through some of my old albums and see if I have anything to add, I was more gothic/industrial than straight industrial, but a lot of the bands listed are familiar.

Seeing TKK with Lords of acid at the sextacy ball, and Nivek Ogre with KMFDM during the symbols tour were some of my favorite shows.

Well I'm trying to ease myself into the genre. The reason I don't like Black Metal (after liking it quite a bit) was because my friends introduced me to underground/experimental black metal early on and I never got a feel for it beyond 1 or 2 bands.

I find myself liking aggrotech. Not so much EBM but maybe cause what I've listened to is too peppy for my liking. I like darkcore and terrorcore though (unrelated but figured I'd throw it out there).

I have been listening to Black Light Burns lately. It's a little more rock oriented, but it's pretty good.

if you can find Testify or any of Van Richter stuff you get some good music. Van Richter was one leading record companys to bring industrial metal out there.
