a lot of people thing if you don't come from humble beginnings like they did then you've got no place to be respected for some reason.

Sure, people who start off with expensive guns may not understand what it means to pinch pennies like they did, but it doesn't make them any less of a person or a paintball player.

I think it's great to start out with higher end gear if you have the option. Less **** you have to deal with. Less of your guns breaking down on you, less of ripping holes in your pants, less struggling to breathe through a ****ty mask... why WOULDN'T you want that? People get the wrong notion that just because they play the game longer than someone else has means they "deserve" better things than the other folks. That's not the kinda attitude to have about ANYTHING.

we had a guy who always played in a pair of basket ball shorts and mask, that's all. long haired hippy always ran around barefoot in the woods. i got too tender a feet for that.
