Years ago, it would have bothered me to see a brand new player sporting brand new gear. Now, nah. Wanting to have the best gear available is understandable. Who cares what others say. Quote:

well i may be wrong but my markers i have now are dm8, egox and a 2011 emipe axe. also a smart parts epiphany i picked up for dirt cheap. i have fiber wrapped tanks on all of them and a halo, prophecy, and rotor for hoppers. from what im told pretty nice setups for newb. |

IMO yes, but only if you act like you know it all, and every else knows you don't.... My advise for the next few months, pick up a Tippy 98 or a rental and learn the game...play in the beginner games if your field has that option, but learn the basics.. |

After renting a couple times, then grabbing a used Spyder, my fourth time out I showed up with a brand new Ego setup, wore full on speedball gear from head to toe, and jumped right in with the advanced group / walk-on airball. I remember getting overshot and bunkered a lot, but I still kept coming back every weekend to learn from my mistakes and get better. In a year, I made lots of new friends, made it on a team, and placed with them to take home some cool prizes.

After 7 yrs of playing. I still wear jeans and a long sleeved shirt. I always spend my money on markers than clothing :S Wear what is comfy. I hope to pick up a jersey, pants, knee pads, elbow and shin guards soon. I have my Red/Black Nike Zoom cleats that I never wore yet haha. I started with a Tippmann Pro-Lite then moved to Cockers, an Eblade, and then to Snipers. I doubt I'll compete in electro Speedball since it no longer appeals to me. Pump is what I prefer now.
