I currently have three nelson based guns, and one mechanical semi (tippy 68 special). Yesterday I received my Phantom. I love my nelsons, they have been reliable and the worst breakdown to date has been seals. But I have to tell you when I went out today for the first time with my Phantom I was impressed. Still a little stiff but it felt like everything was matched to fit within 1/1000th of an inch. I couldn't believe the fit and finish. This marker is truly what is meant when the saying was introduced "ball on ball accuracy". I'll still use my old nelsons but I think the Phantom is going to be the first one I pick up for a while.

Phantoms are good quality, easy to take care of, good stock barrel, very easy to change setups, and I enjoy the benefit of detent rings.

Actually almost all of it is over a year old, but I just read most of it for the first time anyway. The beauty of it is, it's all still relevant, because Phantoms stand the test of time. They are a quality built workhorse that are very adaptable and hold their value fairly well. What more could you ask for in a marker?

You're preaching to the choir, I've got 4 of them.

And I'm not knocking on FeedTheDogg, hence the winking smiley.

Kind of shocked to see this thread back at the top again. In the meantime I've confirmed that I'm just not a Phantom guy, but thanks for everyone's input. They are quality markers....they just feel funny in my hands.
