| Spread The Virus | There's also one other rule that I found over at the PB Marshalls site that isn't listed,No ported barrels or Muzzle breaks.I think that rule is stupid as it would prevent the use of alot of custom guns (ie:CIP Super Stock/Box Gun) http://www.pbmarshals.com/WHATISSTOCK.htm

| I do not think that it is stupid rule. Real Stock Class is imho about simple markers and complicated game. Porting and muzzle brakes are imho not "simple". They are not important for game, they are unnecessary for game. But they providing some advantage (some markers are really SILENT with them) for player and they raising the price of marker. If we will allow ported barrels, then there will be surely after some time question about level operated Q-changers, or about spring feeds, or about something else.

| MCB Member | I think the concept of "stock class" has been lost. Basically it's just using a pump gun. People have to give things names to make it sound good and PC. Stock class to me is like back in the day, when the biggest upgrade was a 50 rnd hopper and Direct feed. You show up to play stock class with me and that's what you have,it's all good. I careless if you have a tank. That's for wallet sense. You have a stick feed, who cares. You have a drop out changer or lever changers who cares. SC / Modified it's all the same. In reality when you get down to it and you start a team and go to tourneys. The sponsored teams either way will get the rules changed for them. Auto trigger: It was designed for quick burst to move team members and keep another player down. Ported barrels: Well that's just personal pref. It has been proven to work and give better ball trajectory. So what if it silences down the marker. Lever change for a 12 gram: I love 'em. I hope ICD starts producing them again. I hope AGD starts back up 6 pak production and ACI brings back the turrent changer. Makes the game more fun. This game is about progression. Best thing about pump is the innovations one can think of.ie get a SKORR trigger trace it out on a nelson trigger and file away. It can get complicated too.ie fresh 12 gram after play to see if anyone is shooting hot. Banning all phantoms and other pumps unless they have a "STOCK CLASS trigger mod" meaning can't go auto trigger. That's another $50.00 out of your wallet for retooling. Ref shooting all guns to make sure there is no auto trigger. Even that can get corrupted"we already checked the Xfactory team last night (insert auto trigger, won't be checked again. Everyone else will),but we need to check yours" "No he wasn't going auto trigger,he just pumps fast". Changeable barrels, nothing wrong with them. Let's you set up for the field your playing on. ie lots of brush, short barrel. Open space med to long barrel. I really don't know who made up the rules, but they really need to be revamped. Limited paint in toruneys. Sounds great. Limit to 60 rnds and 5 co2. If you have a hopper then 50 rnds inside and 10 on your person. 4 co2 on person and one in the gun. Just my two cents. Later, Blackrain

| I heard that some of the stock class rules were made up by various gun companies or tourneys sponsored by specific gun companies. A tourney sponsored by PMI would want the feed tube touching (their guns' feed tubes are welded on), no porting or autotrigger (like theirs), etc. to try to exclude other gun manufacturers products and get players to buy theirs. Most of the rules that people have pieced together have lost the historical background of the politics involved and have thus altered the essence of stock class: 1. horizontal feed tube with no more than one ball above the breach 2. pump gun 3. can't utilize an autotrigger during play 4. Powered by 12 gram CO2. No devices that hold more than one 12 gram (6 packs or turret mounts). No check-it valves to allow for firing when the 12 gram is expelled. I'm mixed on the no lever changer/drop out rule. These rules are my version. Everyone has their own. Porting on the barrel and the like doesn't effect the way the game is played and people shouldn't be forced to put tape over the porting to make their guns more efficient.
