| Pump Gun Dealer | It would take a milling machine and some piano wire to do that to your PGP. Oh, and a chunk of delrin to act as the magazine follower. You have to realize that you'll lose about two balls worth of capacity from the feed tube with a spring feed (unless you're terribly clever and make a new feed tube plug that is longer and hollow and contains the compressed spring and follower). If you don't have a milling machine, piano wire, and delrin then it takes a trip to an airsmith. Check out Rainman's Custom Corner here and see the kind of things he can do. |

Not totally true,If you're handy you can make a springfeed like that for PGP yourself with a Dremmel, a spring and guide from a PT Xtreme Clip (Or similar) I've done it a few times with great results, only drawback doing it that way is it'll decrease the number of rounds the gun will hold.

| Newbie Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: San Francisco, CA | Welcome... I'm fairly new around here as well.... discovered stock class around the time I discovered paintball.... nothing beats the feeling of going against semis with my PGP and holding my own. In the outbox, they'll ask if I'm really gonna play with that thing... I tell them, it only takes one ball to get you out, and that's usually the player I wind up tagging... hehehehe Yeah... Like the others have said... PGPs are cheap and plentiful... but I got to fiddle around with a PM-1 at Rosedalen and I really want one now.... I have a pre2K PGP and a 2k1 PGP that runs constant air which I'm getting a stock for... then to find a pump kit for my minimag.... of course I'll always have my e-bloted 98C to jump into semi games with, but mostly it fills my gearbag... Keep your wallet away from the computer... this place will drain your account, I guarantee!!

Id would opt for the P68SC, as the upgrade path is better using the stock body, and you dont need a valve tool. The P68SC holds 15 rounds so adding a spring feed will only drop you to around 13. They allready come with a nice black plastic pump and its the long version. The barrel can be cut off if you dont like it so long. A competent airsmith will also have lesstrouble doing a side tube for it as the valve just slides out rather than being soldered in. If your wondering the fram eon that cutom gun you posted is a Sergison K frame ($150 or so). Personaly Unless your taking the custom path, Id go with a Nelspot 007. just add a ballstop (old ten round tube cap shoved in the magizine) and a rear dropout. If you want to go the extra mile add an anti kink bolt and respring it. Or just go all out and shove in some lapco guts. You can get 50 shots form a 12 on a nelspot, however I tend to set mine up to work well in all weather extrems so I dump a little extra down the barrel and get 35-40 shots, velocity at 245 (some events around here are 250 so I dont ever need to change it or Id run 265fps) |
