Maybe it's the height that adds to it. I don't know the math/reason, it just feels less comfortable to me. I also hate dealing with elbows of all kinds.

A semi that I really enjoyed was the Azodin Kaos, bigballa pretty much said it all.

I've never been sold on powerfeeds. I know Tom Kaye is a revered god and all, but I've never had problems with right feed L7 Automags, even with shake-n-shoot pocket hoppers. If anything, I've seen powerfeeds cause more problems than they've solved, and that's even before we even start talking about how they obscure vision.

The only PF guns I like are the euro hi-rise AGD bodies and the SP Shocker powerfeeds. Both of them allow you to sight right down the top of the gun, while kicking the feed out to the left.

Back when I ran powerfeed on a mag, I cut the neck down as well as modified the elbow so it would sit lower; kind of mating against the body. I'm pretty sure the offset of that setup was more like 1/2 inch or so.

I do admit I hated messing with the elbows though.

Yeah, I tried to word my response carefully with "properly working powerfeed".

Nevertheless, OP said he was considering a Spyder Compact, which has a powerfeed (someone correct me if I'm wrong), indicating he was OK with it. If that's the case, I don't know why it's even being discussed.

He is the most interesting player in the world.

Whole heartedly agree with the Azodin Kaos. Very inexpensive and easy to take care of. Autococker threaded so you have the world of barrels to pick from.

I was being perfectly serious. Also agree about CF profile and prefer it to all other forms. But also recognize some folk are distracted/irked by what they perceive to be a ruined sight picture.

Some folks can't deal with right feed, some can't deal with left, some can't deal with center, some can't deal with powerfeeds, some can't deal with Q or Warp, some can't deal with magazines.

And some can.

Whatever feeds your marker reliably and allows you to put paint on target reliably.

EDIT: russc, Tom Kaye openly acknowledged (a) that the powerfeed was designed to fill a specific (period) performance gap, and (b) that it wasn't for everyone, owing both to that fact, and also to the sight picture.
