it's complete truth. Recently I saw this kid who started off in rental clothes and a spyder fenix and within a week of all that he went and bought a DM12 with a full fancy-*** setup, rotor, 68/4500 and plus a bunch of padding and all that crap. That kid is pretty damn lucky, he got it in the middle of the YEAR for doing jack and that would be my entire christmas.

On the topic of pants, what's a good pair of pants, preferably under 70 dollars? I also am tired of my knees getting punished wearing jeans.

Thats how i feel exactly
Unless im upgrading just out of boredom and i want a project. I always ask myself that.

You don't need paintball pants to protect you knees. You could get some empire knee pads for about $40 and save the extra money for something else, like entry and paint, which goes back to the point of "if you don't need it,don't buy it".

For good bang-for-buck knee protection, volleyball knee pads are pretty good. I picked up a pair for $7 and I use them quite regularly.
