i do believe you posted a picture of yourself in the phantom picture thread or somewhere.

that's completely besides the point. if you're going to get upset about people leaving the topic, then stay on topic yourself.

Yep has all been said.

You already have your marker so unless you are ready to drop another $100 on a marker you have to figure out how to get what you have to get cheaper. That comes to the other costs...paint, air, field fees.

For paint, it has been said...watch your shots, stay on semi, think no more than 3 rounds at any target (3 round burst). You may not be able to go from shooting ropes to single shot overnight so you may have to step it down...3 round burst is a good option. Find fields you can bring your own, go with a person and split the paint cost, cause buying a case is always cheaper per ball than smaller quantities. Going with partners can also save gas if you ride together.

Air...unless you get it done outside the field you may not have much options there. You can conserve what you have by limiting your shooting...but if you do get all day air, make certain you fill up before you leave.

Field fees - Great ideas already mentioned...show up at the same field a lot and get to know the owner/manager....they often have work days for the teams they sponsor and you may be able to get in on that action and get your field fees reduced or removed.

Overall some great ideas to cut some costs. The college team is a great idea too that can get your reduced field fees, sponsorship from other groups as well including paint and even markers. If you attend church look at starting a church group, you can work with several churches if yours is smaller. Fields can tend to cut the field fees if a group comes out on a regular basis. And the more people you have the more you can buy in bulk and save on the per unit costs.

And of course going outlaw can save you some money as well if you get with an established group.

Also on the fire control part, grip the frame a bit lower and just one-finger it.
