Would like to say hello!

Well I like what I've seen so-far and thought I should introduce myself.
Been playing for a few years now and simply love paintball. Can't get enough!
Some fellow members @ A5OG recently recomended this forum to me because of my recent purchase of a CCI Phantom.

Being a total noob to pump play it appears that I have quite a bit of homework to do here! Definately a wealth of information to be found here.

I've found some answers on my own but I was some what surprised that my stock Phantom has no ball detent system from the factory. Seemed kinda odd to me because every other marker I have/had has a detent system of some kind.

the phantom uses the detent ring system

its a set of thin rings that drop in the breech and are sandwhiched between the barrel and breech

i wish mike would use something like the ego detents i use, or the orings that ASP does....

a freak bored barrel with an underbore helps alot with the rollouts too

This area has my most attention at the moment, lol.
Until I decide which path to take I put a couple drops of nail polish on the barrel breech (not my nail polish, my daughters). Seems to help some.

I have freak inserts but not sure who to use for the boring.
Can the Tech-t I-fits be used the same way?

Just send your barrel to Stanchy to be bored for freak inserts. You won't regret it . Also check out the CCI section, you'll find a lot of information there!

Welcome to MCB!! Careful, you will end up spending hours here and end up never actually finding the answer to the question that brought you here.
