| First game in 8 years Well as the title says I just got to play my first game in 8 years today. Been lurking on here for a bit and only posted a few times but felt like sharing about today. I used to mainly play woodsball, but just last month a new indoor speedball field opened less than a mile from my house and I finally got around to playing. Since I had quit playing around 8 years ago I had sold off almost all my gear on ebay. Course now I wish I hadn't sold any of my old guns (wasn't exactly a gun whore but was working on it) So I had already gone over to PBN ( yeah the place hurts my brain) and picked up a pretty nice vision Impulse for $100 since my previous visit to check out the field had already shown me that just about everyone was shooting electro's. Well I got there late and only got in a couple games but boy was it great. And also a real different experience from what I was used to. Was my first time ever playing on an Airball field. And in the first game I got taken out pretty quick by a kid with a VS1 and got hit like 4 times. Back when I quit I rarely remember getting taken out by more than 1 hit. Big difference betweeen old woodsball and speedball i guess Only bad part was that most of the staff of course plays on the store sponsored team and was at a tourney all day. So by the time I got there they were all tired from playing all day and wanted to go so the owner decided to close early. But the trade off was the owner gave all of us free passes to come back, hopefull going to play again tomorrow (actually today I guess now that I look at the time i'm posting this The other fun part is my 12 year old daughter already wants to go play now |

| Redneck milsim moderator | Welcome to the forum, and welcome back to the game. The woods have not changed much, it's a little faster in there is all.

| Hawaiian-shirted hooligan | Welcome back! Just remember, you don't have to shoot what everyone else is, find some of the old guns you used to have or wanted but had no $$ at the time. It's always fun having the toys that everyone is going, "What the heck is THAT?!"

But yeah I have no plans on trying to keep up with some of the local guys, most shooting ego's. Course I love the fact my impulse worked flawlessly all day while I watched most of the guys ego's mess up every other game. Most, from what I could tell, due to just being messed with too much.Quote:
