Freak Inserts

I have a CCI phantom. If I get my barrel bored for a freak insert, what size insert or inserts should I buy? My understanding is that smaller is better for preventing rollouts and accuracy. I own a micrometer, and a set of detent rings that I regularly use. Can I get away with just buying a .678 sized insert? Buying the complete set seems too expensive to me.

start your own thread buddy. not only is it kinda rude to try to jack somebody else's thread but your soliciting advice about a phantom in a thread started about a spyder. your not going to get the same quality info because people will be coming to this thread thinking spyder not phantom.

But I will answer your question. If you get it freak bored I would suggest buying maybe buying the 678 and maybe a 682. that would get you started. if you find you regularly need either smaller or large buy them as you need them.

Sorry. That was a total accident. I was surprised to find myself subscribed to the thread today. Sorry again

not a problem I don't really care all that much but I have seen plenty of people who do blatantly try to jack threads on purpose.
