defining REALSIM defining REALSIM: definition of realsim, (a paintball subgroup). (team limited-paint with elimination with any marker permitted) REALSIM is similar to MILSIM in that it is a type of limited ammo paintball game (each team has the same amount of ammo, how you distribute it is up to you) + elimination (you're hit you're out, no re-spawns) where teamwork, role-playing and stealth are utilized. REALSIM is more inclusive then MILSIM, for it allows any type of paintball marker as long as it shoots at a safe velocity. REALSIM is about the game aspect of paintball instead of the sport. |
ok? |
REALSIM is obviously a misnomer. I mean c'mon... Get real. Most of the paintball community just calls the subject described "paintball". |
I kind of get what you are trying to do but the last thing paintball needs is another subgroup and your idea basically falls into limited paint anyway. |
LARPING???? Scenario and realsim have been around, where using limited ammo (or "real" load outs) is the protocol of the game. If you have a group that is dedicated to that style of play then it will work for you. However to attempt to have a large scale game of that style of play would be difficult at best. Scenario games fall victim to the fact that there are some players that don't want to play a role but to just shoot at the good people of the world instead. Chears to you for enjoying the hobby or sport in your own way. |
