First Strike Paintslugs

I'm not really new, just been out of the PB world for a while.

I come back and see that someone is making the Trracer again, and that it can shoot a "paintball" that looks a LOT like a shotgun slug. So... I have questions.

Are these "slugs" still being sold and are they any good?

Is the new Trracer worth the coin?

First Strikes are awesome...watch jjron's video and let your jaw drop:

As for the Trracer, they aren't really the ideal first strike platform compared to some of the mag/shell fed guns like the CCM SR-1, but overall they are pretty good guns for the money.

The First strike rounds you mentioned are becoming really popular
I believe it's a joint project by Perfect Circle Paintball (Started by Tom Kaye of AGD) and Tiberius Arms, sold under the Tiberius name
not all fields allow first strike, most do. the only ones you really need to worry about are FPO fields
just remember that you need to play with JUST first strikes, or JUST paint (IMO) because the first strike rounds chrono 20-30FPS faster than round paint

for the other part of your post... I've heard nothing but good things about the Trracer, they work fine, the pump stroke is good for what you pay for. the only thing I've heard that wasn't 100% positive was that they could have done away with the rails

I haven't actually used them, just what I read
obviously depends on the gun and your bore match for both the FSR and regular paint

Ah, gotcha. I watched this guy run a FSR Trracer at the Sniper Challenge:

WOLF at the TOP PAINTBALL SNIPER Challenge - YouTube

It seemed like it was way more work for him than the guys running dedicated FSR platforms, without any real accuracy gains compared to a semi.

I do love that he's running iron sights.
