I've owned an used an Avatar as my primary mask for years and never had the foam come out. I did buy one as soon as they were released, so maybe their standards have gone down.

Try calling Kee/Paintball solutions. They will probably send you free replacement foam. Or you could try to get some of the foam from the new E-Flex. It's a lot nicer than the stuff that's in the Avatar.

And did you ever figure out how to get the strap off? If you can take the lense out then you can take the strap off.

Call empire. For general maintenance I wash mine in the kitchen sink with hot water, much to my wife's dismay. Sometimes I will stick them in the dishwasher if they are really nasty. Just make sure you take out the lenses and ten off the heat drying cycle . That works great for pods as well.

shoe goo works great for reglueing foam, dries flexable unlike something like foam safe CA glue would
