Keep in mind it is just a game and have fun.

If you have camped before you should be good to go on supplies. Everything seems pretty well covered already. Take a cheap camera to take pictures. Do not bring anything of value that you will not need. I like to think that everybody is decent and trustworthy but sadly that is not always true. Keep your stuff locked up when youare not using it.

Don't forget to be prepared for breaks in the game.

Whenever I go to a big event, I like to bring a camp chair and card table. These just sit in my car until lunch time. When I come back for lunch I can break out the chair and set up the table to eat, work on guns, lay out gear, etc.

My gear all lives in a big cargo box which has several smaller boxes for different pieces of equipment and a tool box in it. I have everything organized so I know where it is so I don't have to spend a bunch of time digging around for that one item I need.

It's always a plus to bring some paper towls or rags to wipe down equipment and clean splattered goggles.

As far as the game goes, just pay attention to what other people are doing and try to follow the lead if someone starts a major push or a bunch of people head off to complete an objective. A lot of the time it seems like scenario play can degenerate into a whole bunch of "one man armies" playing next to one another and not coordinating to complete objectives. Avoid that.

i get the impression you are new to paintball as well as scenarios... if that is not the case then forgive me for posting this!

So one thing i wish someone had shown be earlier was the benefit of learning to switch hands with your marker and to shoot out both sides of a bunker. This kind of goes hand in hand with stripping the extras off your a5. This is also a little trickier with an a5 due to the cyclone, but still very very useful.

Haha, no offense taken. Yes, I am new to paintball. I first went last August, and as I live in the middle of nowhere, I only get out the field about 1-2 times per month. Though I am lucky enough that the field I play at is the original home of the North Shore Renegades, so I have some great teachers. That, and we can pretty much do whatever we like, so being able to have some quiet time after close for target practice is great.

I definitely need to learn the valuable skill of switching hands, which I am sure I will be drilled on this weekend. I will check the video out as soon as I'm not on my tiny phone.

Cheers everyone for the great tips!

I will try my best, no promises or anything. I may suddenly panic when I'm walking beside a team member, and shoot them for no reason. It could happen

Scenarios are awesome. You can play your way in a scenario. If you want to fight on the front lines and slug it out, go do that.
If you want to run missions, ask your general or his/her XO if there's something you can do.
Find out if there are breaks for lunch. If not, take them when you need them.
Have fun!
