Well, seeing as how I severely (grade 3) sprained my ankle last Sunday at paintball, and the scenario is in 2 1/2 weeks, I fear this may be my fallback option. Not happy about it, but it may be necessary. :/

i remember playing on a bad sprain a few years back, just gotta make sure you have good ankle support during the game. 2 weeks might be enough time to get it functional again, lol.

I'm determined to try, but the doctor said 1 week off my feet completely, and 8 weeks to be back to normal. In any case, I can always put a plastic bag over the airboot lol. They'll hear me coming a mile away, but that might be an advantage if they keel over laughing their asses off. :P

find a way to get a squeak toy attached so that you squeak with every step, would add to the tactical hilarity

Omg YES! I will destroy the other team if they can't even stand up to shoot me lmao! Alright, it's happening. I'll get one from the pet store. Squeaky hotdog foot: FTW!

must get video of said squeaky toy enhanced boot. Get a raccoon toy, they're sly and all that.

we all need to meet up for a scenario game some day and all have squeaky toys of some sort.

my friend and i started a chorus of "mine?!" at Fulda Gap last year, that was pretty funny at the time.

2.5 weeks should be enough for ya. Take it easy on it till the scenario and try to snatch up a set of desert boots with good ankle support. I would suggest taking a few antiinflamatories, however it will be summertime. You will definitely be able to play, just not as hard as you normally could

One of our die-hards showed up on crutches after knee surgery. He made it all weekend.

If base security is too slow, try to get a radio as a forward sector coordinator close to the staging area or insertion area. A good XO always needs a pair of eyes willing to stay put, even if just to give someone else a break.
