Ninja Pro Reg Question!!

Hey MCB'rs

I have a question about the Ninja Pro Reg..I recently bought a used ninja tank and came with the pro reg on it, I've seen videos on how to maintain it and i am pretty comfortable doing so..

but were i'm confused are the three washers that the pro reg comes with..what exactly are they for? and is it better to have all three inside, or take a few out.?

Thanks in advance..

The three washers adjust your tank's output pressure. What gun or guns are you planning on using the tank on?

The washers can be removed to lower your pressure. By default, it typically comes with all needed washers installed for standard output pressure of about 850...unless of course you specifically ordered a specialized reg from them.

In most cases, it is either best (or not at all harmful) to leave it at full pressure. All of my guns are regulated and I use high pressure output.

Leave it at the standard output (800-850) for both, your HPR's will take care of the rest.

when you buy a gun that uses a lower input pressure then the preset of 800 psi.
it just so happens, I bought a Ninja Pro reg about 2 weeks ago and have the instruction booklet right in front of me:

3 shims = 800 psi
2 shims = 700 psi
1 shim = 550 psi
0 shims = 450 psi

If you ever want to run your tank at a lower output pressure, like I do on my Axe, then I suggest taking your standard operating pressure (Axe = 180 psi) and doubling it and set your reg as close to the doubled number as possible or slightly over. Mine would be 360 psi, but since it only goes to 450, then you shouldn't have any problems starving your gun for air. I actually have my crossfire 68/4500 set at 550 psi for my Axe and my Ninja Pro 45/4500 set at 800 for my Trilogy Pump.

ohh..I was searching to see what output pressure the dangerous power G4 should be operated and i couldn't find anything..but if its better to leave it alone then i probably shouldn't mess with it.

The G4 runs roughly between 180 - 200 psi, much lower if you have the TechT bolt. You could take the shims out of your tank reg, but at the end of the day you will only get a few extra shots from your tank running low psi output versus standard psi output. That is why I said to just leave it as it is so the tank use will be more versatile.
