Its nice when cheap paint works great.
That said, I'd be happy to spend 70 dollars a case on really high quality fresh paint, in .688 or so outside diemeter.

Valken high end paint is all I buy when I have a choice what to shoot. I have had very good luck with both Graffiti and Redemption. Both paints have been consistent, round, decently sized (around .684 mostly), and breaks on target.
I used to be strictly a RPS/Marbs guy but the quality of Kee paint has been very bad for a while now.

Walk it off
Whatever happened to RPS Advantage Shell paint? That was my favorite paint to shoot several years back. It was good quality, non-dimpled, and it handled humidity well. Does KEE offer something with this shell technology?

I know some magfed people like using draxxus frostbite year round, but I have never tried it. I don't really get to play much in the winter.

I shoot Valken Echo which is the low end at my field and I love it for $50 ($40 for me) and they have Redemption too. When I play with friends on their land and I don't have anything else, I'll pick up RPS Stinger and I've gotten a lot of crap for shooting it. Never had any issues with it and it breaks for us.

Paint quality seems to constantly cycle. I, too, have had unfortunate experiences with Empire paint (Marballizers, to be specific) in the last year. Just a couple of years ago, Marbs were just awesome. I don't know what changed, if anything...there is always the possibility of getting a bad batch or some that hasn't been properly stored or cared for. There are so many variables in the equation...
Of what I've used lately, GI Sports 2 and 3 star has been good, as has Valken Graffiti and Redemption. I've never had a bad case of Nelson paint, either, though not many fields use it. Nelson Hemorrhage has been sweet every time I've had it. Evil has been great every time I've had it, but I've not shot any since 2013.
