My prostock pump shoots darts. I have a SM3 barrel, compressed air tank and it shooting at about 290 (+2/-1). Mine goes about 30 yards or so, then starts to drop. | |

| MCB Member | If your picking up a cocker of any sort, pick up a barrel kit or at least a few tighter bore barrels. I find a .683 and a .686 get 90% of my usage. If your on a budget, just use nail polish to build up a "detent" inside the barrel.

| Rec Poster | I too was hoping to get a Prostock, but I also noticed that they are out of stock. So I will most likely get a Trilogy. And the best part is: my Mag and a Cocker use the same threaded barrels, so I'll be able to use them interchangeably. Pure sweetness! ~Quip~ |

Edit: Top Pic is the "later" pic, has more polishing done than the bottom. |

Other folks will tell you different but I don't like the Trilogy line.

| Rec Poster Join Date: Feb 2007 | Preference questions are always a little "loaded". All of my experience to date has been with a single make of electro stacked tube blowbacks so I really have no background for comparison. The few cockers I've been around were always a little intimidating with what seemed like an unbelievable number of exposed moving parts as well as the reputation of being a very difficult gun to keep running well. Fortunatly this thread and others like it have done a great deal of demystifying and actually have me considering a cocker as my first straight mech semi. (well actually a blazer would be my first choice but realisticly I would be able to afford a cocker first) Thanks all. |
