Whichever position needs to be filled.

You're a realative babe in this sport - don't try to pidgin-hole yourself.

Learn to play everywhere - it'll make your play better overall.

well, don't constrain yourself to one "position". A lot of people get locked into one role, and it takes some of the fun out of the game.

Usually, I find the front position to be more exciting. More chances of getting shot/ shooting people, but also a bit shorter lifespan. Mid is a lot less "constrained", though, as you just fill in where needed, so if you want to "pick" a position, play mid. But really, just do what you feel like, mix it up. I go on crazy runs up the side, just to keep it interesting for me, but sometimes it helps to just hang back for a game to clear your head.

I would go with a diablo wrath package. They have whole setups on firstcallpaintball.com for $180. It includes the gun, HPA tank, hopper, pod pack. great deal

As for what possition to play I agree with what was said above. Try and play them all, they all have their good and bad points. Also depending on how the game is going you'll end up play all possitions anyway. As for what gun to buy try to play with a few before you buy one. Make sure you like the way they feel and then you can also ask the owner how upkeep is so you'll have an Idea of maintanance.
