New here - hello!

I'm brand new to MCB - heya guys!

I played woodsball for the fist time ever at a place in New Jersey probably about 8 years ago. I had a blast! but for some reason it didn't trigger me to pursue playing any further. Then last year we moved close to my in-laws, they bought 6 acres of property, and something clicked in my head "why don't we all get some paintball guns and have some fun?" Well we all ended up just scrounging around for markers and gear for a few months, and came up with enough set-ups for all 6 of us to play. We had our first game in the backyard on Christmas day last year, and that was the beginning of my obsession!

Since then, I've read a lot both here and on PBN, bought more gear, and been on the receiving end of the death glare from my wife each time she finds that I've bought another paintball item :P. My focus up until recently has been to acquire cheap guns and gear so I could have as many setups as possible so more people can come play in the backyard. Up to 11 guns now, with enough masks/tanks/etc for 9 of them.

Now I come to the part that led me to MCB... I'm an engineer by trade, and always have been interested in all things mechanical. So when I saw the Automag for the first time, I knew I had found what my heart had been longing for! Now that I have several other guns, and enough gear for family and friends, my attention has turned back to the mag, and how I can acquire/build one of my own. Looking forward to browsing the threads here and slowly entering the world of the Automag owner/shooter/tinkerer.

Then be prepared to see that look more frequently. MCB has a habit of turning even the most frugal people into unabashed gun whores. Hide your wallet and welcome!

DO NOT look at the Palmers Pursuit section in the forum. For the sake of your wallet...just don't. Welcome to the asylum.

check the AGD section here, there is also Automags.org and a dedicated facebook group. browse thru all three looking at all the different custom setups to help you figure out what you want. the mag is probably the most customizable marker ever made

Welcome, mags are quite the bug.....if you're on a budget, I'd say start out slow with a classic build you could score a decent classic build for around 100$ and upgrade part by part from there, then in a while with enough parts upgraded, you'll have enough extras to build a second mag
