| Nah, if you have a nice jersey it feels great. WAY better than the hoody I used to wear. It is way lighter and it still absorbs hits pretty well. |

| I have an empire jersey I got for free with an order from firstcall, but I can't bring myself to wear it when playing recball (maybe because of all the anti-speedball sentiment on MCB?). I just wear a navy-blue long-sleeve t-shirt, JT paintall pants, soccer cleats, raven gloves, JT pro-flex. Maybe my pack if I'm shooting semi or electro (rarer and rarer these days). |

| Pump Gun Dealer | For 7+ years I've not worn any paintball specific clothing up until this past month. I ordered a pair of the Smokin' Stock Class Pants partially because my old BDU pants were getting ratty and partially to support a company that was willing to make stock class specific products. I must say I'm sold on them now. They're comfy, and the built-in kneepads work great. Previously I had always worn mountain biking knee/shin pads over my BDU pants. The SCP pants kneepads aren't as thick as those, but they're lighter and seem to be padded enough to do the job. The thing I really like about the SCP pants is now I don't have to remember to bring kneepads or my tube belt anymore. As long as I'm wearing the pants, I've replaced two extra pieces of gear with one (three I suppose if you count the old BDU pants as one). |

| VOTE BEER IN 08 | I can see the benefits of a good lightweight jersey because they are only like 40 bux now. But I would rather spend $30 on some BDU pants vs. 100 for "PB" pants. |

| Again, if you buy 06 or 07 pants you can get a great deal.. $70 shipped for Empire 07 Pants that where $150 new ones just 6 months ago. You can get 06's for even less, I'm thinking around $40. Then you have all the protection you could possibly need. |

| If you don't mind kneepads then use a pair of those with whatever pants you want. I've been playing for almost 6 years now and I still use plain-old blue jeans and a hoodie in the winter to a sleeveless and shorts in the summer. I do have tourney and scenario gear, but I simply opt not to use it because I'm not comfortable. Purchase/trade for whatever you wish. But what matters most is what YOU are comfortable with, not anyone else.

| Thats because you live in Florida and you don't get extremely physical like some people do. If you play on a field that has an upper layer of sand with clay beneath it, you will be extremely sorry for not having good paintball gear. Diving, slidding, and posting up with a knee down is extremly painfull without good knee pads and elbowpads. That crap for soccer and football will not cut it cause they tend to slide off. If your bust up your knee, you will probably not be playing paintball anymore. Slider shorts are extremely important because it protects the family Jewels, helps keep you leg muscles warmed up, and it helps pad you legs for slidding. I have been shot from 2 inches away, so I know those soft cups work great. Ridiculously padded pants, like JT pants for example, aid in the shock absorbtion for your knees and they do get a lot of bouncers. They are also big in the crotch area to allow room for kneeling and other wierd positions paintball players tend to put themselves in. I have destryoed a few good pairs of jeans within one game of paintball. Not to mention that the crotch areas tend to blow out. Don't forget about the gloves, it sucks getting shot bare handed. When it comes to jerseys, I am kinda 50/50 on that one.

| VOTE BEER IN 08 | We actually have a lot of rocks because everything in South Florida is built on coral rock. My teammate has 3-4 6"+ scars on his chest from diving into a snake. Last edited by Harbinger[TG]; 04-21-2008 at 04:28 PM. |
