| Active Member Join Date: Sep 2006 | Gloves are the bane of my Paintball existence... All the pairs I have used give me "Black Hand" except for ONE pair...and I can't remember the Brand...so I buy and use and hate and buy and use and hate and buy and use and hate... The Gloves I had from Blackhawk never did that to me....I guess i will get another pair and protect them like a mother hawk

| Delving into Satinism | Yeah, on the gloves I tend to wash them a couple times before wearing them. Tossing them in the dryer was great since it shrunk them to fit better as well. To ensure they didn't bleed more I also usually toss them in the shower so they get soaked and have water running through them at first for a few days straight too. Soaking them in a bowl of salt water as the very first thing you do sometimes will work to help the dye stay fast (I still wash mine a lot too upon purchase).

I still use 'em (with a protector), and they haven't steered me wrong yet. To those of you looking for p-ball gloves, (belive it or not) Wal-Mart carries something useful. They have these sport-utility gloves (called SUG's for some unknown reason), and they are GREAT! They're padded on the knuckles and on the palms, and the fingers are cut off at the tips (freedom on the trigger finger). If you are so inclined, try 'em out. They run about $3 a pair, and they're in the gloves section. Only downfall- they will leave black gunk on your hands until you wash them, but for the money, they are well worth it.

Come to think of it, except for paint and maybe a replacement lense, the only "brand new in box" paintball item I ever bought was a Splatmaster last year from some guy from Belgium. ![]()
