| I already have a HP tank and Electro hopper. I have considered a pumpgun, just for the challenge. To be honest though i dont think it would "grow" my game by a great amount. As it is now, I only put 2 or 3 balls on a target i address, and if i didnt hit him then im moving on, to get a better angle. ![]()

| okie dokie. I know there a lot of new people out there who cannot seem to do that and didnt know your skill level. In that case though may I still reccomend a pump if for no more than the challenge of playing pump.

| That and when it comes to paintball and playing with pump you'll be playing with style. If you want to buy one I can help you out if it's a phantom. Just let me know and I'll meet you up at Renee's shop. Skiddish

As for the exposed bolt worries, just make sure you clean your top tube after every day of play, and possibly your ram. As for dirt/grime getting into the deeper internals such as the solenoid or valve, there's no need to worry. The explusion of air though the valve practically seals off the guts of the marker from the outside world, unless something comes through your bottomline. | |

| Rec Poster | I have a Wrath LTD which is very similiar and sand and dirt in the breach from the bolt isn't really a problem. Sand and dirt can work it's way into the ram sleeve below the bolt easily because of the design but there's really only one o-ring down there that makes an active moving seal and I don't see that being a large issue. Because any dirt that manages to work it's way back to the sealing surfaces of the rammer should be swept out with the next shot. Though that could lead to premature o-ring wear or failure which would cause inconsistency and inefficiency though. Remove the backcap and clean up the rammer and ram sleeve after you play paying attention to the o-rings and you should be fine. Now it's a massive amount of dirt/sand then the rammer may not be able to complete it's movement smoothly and that would cause problems but that would pretty much require burying the gun in the sand/dirt. Because your Slayer doesn't have the side window that the Wrath LTD has the ability of dirt/sand to enter the lower chamber is significantly reduced compared to mine. Clean it up after you play and you shouldn't have problems.
