Hahah import vs. domestics in paintball.

Wow...i am newb slowly becoming aware of the two drastictly different worlds of paintball. Im not sure what each would prefer i refer to them as. Im guessing "old schoolers" vs. "e-fairies". Or is it "Dino-tech" vs. "BPS masters". Im sure it depends on which side you ask. All i know is its my formula firebird vs. a turbocharged honda civic all over again. I used to be big in the automotive forums and drag racing. Its funny (but understandable) the similarities that emerge as people choose sides with technoligies and methods.
My question is will i be able to float in the middle somewhere heheheheh? I imagine it must be possible. I used to own a 400hp firebird now i drive a Honda S2000 and i love it.
Let us remember that...Just as when my firebird and some "Ricer" honda roared past 120mph side by side, their will always be that moment on the feild when the adrenaline is flowing your hearts pounding and you both pull up your markers to address each other at the same time and ...YOU ARE EQUAL.
hahahah i cant wait to play tomorrow.
peace guys.

As long as you enjoy them, why take sides? I did for a while, but to me, as long as it flings paint, no matter what style or valve or spool or blowback, why should u care?

Taking sides to me is silly, it's all preference anyway. One shoe doesn't fit all.

It's best to get one of each of them (you forgot pump ). Then you can do whatever floats your boat that day. That's what I do.

I vote to get some of each. (Note I did not say ONE of each, but SOME)

It's all fun, and that way you have a paintball gun to fit each and every mood!

I think you will find that most users here have a mix of old and new guns. Most people here love paintball itself, more then they love old guns.

It does at times seem like a different world. Today, certaintly, guns are faster. But also seem to be of lower quality. Disposable items that are thrown away for next years model.

In the 80s, and early 90s, guns were often handcrafted from high quality aluminium, brass and steel, unlike the modern guns using plastics, and potmetal. Much of that is simple business. The market moved towards improving profits, and now most guns are made in China. Lower quality, but at the same time, more players can enter the sport with decent "entry level" equipment.
