Barrel Condoms? - Page 4

The one that came with my Tiberius is the best one I have, ultra sturdy. It's made of the same stuff as the holsters. I dunno if you can get them seperately though, and they are black, which is less useful because one purpose of a barrel condom is to signal to others to please stop ramping at you.

This is true. But some folks overlook that purpose. I always try to stress it though. I will make wraps in just about any color or fabric pattern, but try to dissuade folks from ordering dark colors or camo.

I have also heard refs and field staff grumble about wraps that are not easily seen since it makes their job harder at times.

Interesting, my Tiberius came with a neoprene blue one. Not bad, but obviously not the same thing...

Absolutely it makes things harder. Both Tippmann and CCI barrel socks are black, and we (the refs at my field that is) are constantly hollering at customers to put a barrel sock on only to find they do have a barrel sock on, it's just a black barrel sock on a black Tippmann.

I definitely think barrel socks should be as bright as you can get them. I like neon orange, neon pink and neon green ones personally.

I make my own out of canvas, leather, and beanie babies. I've got a nice collection, and many, many beanie babies. Heh, my sister never saw me coming...

Joke would be on you if you found out later that you used some ultra rare or collectable ones that were worth huge amounts of $$$.

I just got a "Ronin" condom from I&I Sports. It incorporates two pockets so if you have an accidental discharge you can you stick your barrel in the other side to keep your barrel clean.

I have a Dye and CCI one. I prefer the Dye, but I somehaw managed to get a hole in it, even though I only accidentally shot like once or twice...

I don't like using the CCI one. It's black and very thin. Makes it hard to get on sometimes and I'm not sure if I'd trust it on a barrel since it's jsut so thin. Hell, the very strong and thick Dye one even has a hole in it.

I think I'll go talk to my mum and see if she can make me a new one!
