Measuring instruments marked in units not complying with French law.
just don't put any measuring cups in with the guns and you should be all set.

Pillage - WOW .... to much there to process. good thing I'm not sending any funeral urns....

RoBo - That's exactly what I wanted to know - and from experience. Thanks.

The guy I sold my e-tach to wanted me to put Used Toy and under value it so it makes it to him - I wanted extra advice on this. Thanks all. Any other tips for the form would be appreciated.

Keep in mind, the US post office no longer ships "International Ground".

It will receive them, just not ship them out. The cheapest method is now "International Priority" which is equivalent of the old "AIR MAIL".

Anyway, be honest on the customs, just DO NOT use the word "gun", since guns are obviously heavily regulated, and the customs agents might not understand the semantics.
Use "Paintmarker". I've used the infamous Smart Parts term "Pneumatic Projectile Launching Device" before, and sometimes use "Sporting Equipment".

Also, do not mark "gift". All that does is forfit your right for refunds

Marking a lower value could screw you on insurance as well.

For any large items, I always ask to declare and insure for full value. I'd rather pay a little extra tax and know if something goes wrong I can get my money back. Be sure to hold onto the shipping receipts for insurance purposes until you know it's been delivered.

Shipping overseas is really not that much of a problem,as long as you are not shipping something proscribed in the receiving country. It can cost like hell, but that is another easier if annoying issue.

not to hijack manny's thread, but i'm no presented with a similar situation... a buyer in France wants to buy a $150 item from me... i figure with shipping ($38.95 internation priority) and insurance $200/shipped would cover it. anyone see in flaws in that thinking? thanks for the info guys

I just shipped an RT Pro minus the Xvalve to Germany today.
I dismantled it and called it toy parts.

USPS does offer international tracking.
Its actually a partnership between USPS and FedEx.

Yeah its pricey but the guy had to have it. I dont usually ship international
because people dont want to pay for tracked/insured shipping, and
I dont ship any other way. Especially if they paid thru Paypal tracking to the destination is mandatory.

EDIT: Oh my I am now leet just noticed its my 1337th post ...
