Should I continue playing with this or put it up on the wall?

Hi,
I have been playing for a while but within this past year acquired a SL-68 II. The old Tippmann pump is lots of fun to play with but I just noticed that the serial number is 0003. Now I know that this type of pump is considered by many to be indestructable but should I stop playing with this one and hang it on the wall or just continue playing with it as I have been.

I was thinking of getting a AM Illusion (if I can find one) and put this one in a little display case but I don't know.

Thanks,
Scott

that's cool.

Honestly, don't be afraid to play with it. That's how a lot of folks feel around here.

Sure, take real good care of it, but like an old hot rod, it begs to be driven once in a while.

Bah! That's what I say to the concept of "wall hangers". Being a Tippmann, your SL was meant to be used. There isn't a single paintball gun out there that I would consider too nice or rare to play with.

That's just me. Others may tell you differently, but that's my take on it.

Take good care of it, but definitely bring it out to play. Paintguns are happiest when they are eliminating people.

Ok good. This old little bugger should still have a few more kills in her.

I’m a collector and I agree you should use it and have fun with it. I would recommend sparingly and carefully. If it was new and unused I would have a different opinion, but it is used and as long as you don’t wreck it no harm and no foul. But if you want I have some good used ones with higher S/N that I could trade.

lol... no but thank you.
I'll probably try to find myself an Illusion to play with most of the time but I'll still bring the SL68 out every now and again, just so that it never starts getting dusty.
Thanks guys.

I concur w/ the other peeps.

But maybe I'm kinda ignorant about the collecting/memorbilia side of p-ball. I regularly play with what I think would be considered "collectable" guns.

If it makes you happy playing with it, then pump away IMHO.

I like "wall hangers."

But it's a Tippmann... Use it. Just don't throw it away or anything later. When you are done... sell it to a MCBer to keep it in this great community.
