| Seasoned Member | I recently bought two PMI 48/3000 tanks from Action Village. They worked fine. Shortly after, I found a couple fiber-wrapped bottles (68/3000) for sale and bought those. Since they were just about out of Hydro, I sent them off to Crossfire for hydro and a regulator upgrade. I then sold the PMI bottles, and now have the equivalent of two Crossfire 68/3000 tanks. The 68ci tanks were the same size as the 48ci tanks, and lighter. If you can find used out-of-hydro bottles, the Crossfire hydro-upgrade deal was $55. You should easily be able to find a bottle and do the upgrade for $100 or under. |

| Well i got a 68/4500 centerflag ignition tank but today i went to get it filled and when i came home i shot about 190 paintballs thru i. When I was done i checked the guage it said 2000psi? I think wtf 4500 to 2000 in 190 pb it is a lp tank as well set at an output of 400 psi. can you help explain this to me. oh and how can you tell cubic inches by looking on the tank? Thanks |

| Leave it there have them fill it let it cool down and when you go back to pick an hour later have them top it off. The other thing is the tank temp when you bring it in to be filled. If its in your hot trunk or garage then you fill it you will always get a hot fill and lose several hundred psi the next time you play if its a cool morning. I have a 3.5 SCFM compressor with gives a fairly slow fill and the tanks still get warm and lose 200 to 300 psi after they cool. At the majority of the places you will get a 3000 psi fill, by the time you get home it's 2750 psi. A 68/3000 fiber tank wieghs about a pound less than its counterpart in 4500 psi Last edited by Pardini; 11-15-2006 at 01:03 AM. |

| Active Member | uhhh so wait you are running co2 on your ion? im suprised it hasnt died yet lol your not sopposed to use co2 on an ion, and any tank will be just as good as the next except for weight and consistancy, consistancy is usually not even noticible just stay away from aci and dye tanks and you should be fine
