Now what would be a good tank, not looking to spend too much. 1. Why do 68/3000 cost more than a 72/3000 tank? Crossfire v PMI How many shots from a 68/3000? What should i get or do? Thanks, I am running a SP Ion, SportsJunky |

The difference in materials accounts for the price difference. The rule of thumb for shots on HPA is: 10 per cubic inch at 3000 15 per cubic inch at 4500 This will vary with the gun you use and its efficiency. -rat

| Mod & Underwear Model | Michigan? HPA will likely be a lot more consistent for you. As already mentioned...shot count is going to vary greatly from one gun to the next. Your Ion is relatively effecient so you should be ok with either a 3000 or 4500 psi tank. My PERSONAL opinion: I've found a 68-4500psi to be just about the perfect size for use on various guns. Any bigger is too big, and any smaller you find yourself making too many trips to the fill line. Crossfire makes a pretty good tank regulator, my personal favorite.

Buy a used tank. People ditch screw in presets for 120 +/- 10 these days that have been used for a year. It's rediculous. I bought my first HPA tank used for 225... crossfire, nitroduck and pure energy (PMI) are all great tanks. Bulldogs are nice too. Most screw ins are just fine, really. :P I agree, it's pretty easy to set up about any gun with a 68 ci tank. |

| Mod & Underwear Model | You'll have to do some online searching. Tank prices seem to swing pretty widely. 888paintball has a 68/45 red crossfire (high pressure) for about 185 now.

| MCB Member | I haven't been there in a week, but my local pawn shop has a PMI 72/3000 that was hydro'd until 10/2009 I believe. It was only $45. I would be willing to pick it up and send it to you if you pay shipping. I also live in Michigan so shipping shouldn't be that bad. PM me if your interested. |
