| Deciding on a GUN ok so i have a to decied what gun i want. right now i am using a 32degrees Dragunfly. i like the gun but hate the fact that if my bateries go dead and if i freeze it up it stops working. i have also been told that the DragunFly take alot of work to keep up and going. i am planing i i buy it to switch it to air. any sugestions on diffrent guns i should look at. i am looking to spend no more than 250 on my gun. any ideas? |

| Mod & Underwear Model | First: What is your primary use? Speedball, Woodsball, Scanario? Second: For that $250, you realize that by switching to air, you can expect to drop an additional $150-$200 on a good HPA bottle. And potentially another $50-$100 on a regulator ?

| Batteries dieing, either get re-chargeable 9.6v's and charge them before a day's play, or just make sure you take out your batteries between days of play. Freezing up, thats also easy to solve. Slow down your ROF, and get an anti-siphon tube installed on the tank you use on that gun. It will go a long way to help (as will a decent regulator). You may still get a cold gun, but it will work. (BTW, when did 32 Degrees take over the dragun's?)

| yep, you might want to consider a decent mechanical if you have problems with dead batteries. i can reccommend Tippmans and '68 classic' automags. if you are more mechanically adept, the market on 'cockers is good right now.

| Lord humungus the Mod | Ive been playing for about 7 years and have shot almost every gun made from 1984-2006 and havent really found anything that will suit me totally. You will most likely have to find a gun that is ranged in the class of PB that you play. Speedball get a speedball gun...ect. Freezing up is an inherent trait that you face when dealing with the mixture between Co2 and a high rate of fire. You will have to set-up HPA if you plan to overcome freeze-ups. Get yourself a good bottle and reg combo and a decent secondary reg. Keep in mind that you have to pay good money for good products. Also beware that some gear may turn into "money pits" before you know it. -Jake

| Tippmann A5 would give you a pretty decent platform to build from. Right out of the box they're pretty good. With a barrel upgrade, they're great. Not too expensive -- and with the E-grip upgrade, you "could" get a fair ROF (if you're into that thing) Did I mention that A5's are nearly indestructible? | what gun ?? well imho i would go to your local field and ask some of the players if you could shoot a few balls at the target range to see how you like the gun because your new and want to try before you buy...also at your price range a cocker is an excellant choice. you can find lots of tech on the net for cockers. the regular players are always happy to help a new person to the sport and will let you try the gun...good luck with your choice. |

| Ultimate Battle Monkey Z | Actually, if you're going to air anyway, you may want to stick with your current marker. An airtank will take care of a lot of reliability issues over CO2. You'll get regulated output straight from the tank and freeze-up will be a thing of the past. I would get the air tank if I were you and try it with your current setup. You may find that you don't need a new gun at all.
