Stiffi barrel

I am looking to get a Stiffi barrel and i was wondering if i should ge the 12" or 14" barrel? with the longer barrel is the porting extended or is the part before the porting extended. i am going to get it in a .687

Thanks

After about 10-12 inches any benefit from a longer barrel is usually minimal at best. Some people like a longer barrel so that they can use it to push into the sides of inflatable bunkers. You should see virtually no difference in accuracy, so it really is just a matter of preference. If you like to play tight, go for a shorter barrel. If you play on a lot of inflated fields then it might make sense to get the longer barrel.

Sports..with every other barrel ive seen they simply extend the ported section, not the unported section. Im pretty positive its the same with stiffi's.

Id get a 12 inch myself

Not sure which gun you want it for, but my response would be the same either way....go w/ the 12.

I have a 14", it's overkill in my opinion. I dont think those extra inches pay-off. And since it's so light, I've found that it kind of throws off the "feel" of the whole rig to have that phantom-weight so far forward. (tough to explain, but it definately took a long time to get used to the feel)

I'm a big fan of 12 inch barrels. 10 seems to short (harder to aim) and 14 makes them look ungainly.

There are better (carbon fiber has a shorter lifespan than aluminum or stainless steel) and cheaper barrels than the Stiffi. The Stiffi maybe lighter but not by all that much.

BTW: I think there was a product review on Stiffi in this months Facefull magazine. If you can get a copy you might find it interesting.
