Yeah, zippers would be nice. I might pick up a set of those zippers that you thread your laces into.

I'm currently enjoying a pair of Original S.W.A.T's as my paintball footwear. Very comfy, but a bit pricy at around $80 a pair.

"i just broke the string on one of them".... you mean the boot lace?

Man what is this world coming to when I man doesn't even know the proper term for a boot lace?

I had a pair of 'Nam-style jungle boots that served me well for quite a few years. One thing I never understood about them, though- Why was the heel so narrow? I almost twisted my ankle a number of times because of this, but thankfully, I always managed to correct my footing in time to prevent it.

those jungle boots ghave great traction, but NO ankle support. I did worse than twist my ankle in them, snapped one bone in 2 and cracked the other.

Yeah I wore a pair for a while when we played on a farm...luckily I outgrew them quickly.. god only knows what kind of damage I could of done to myself wearing them.

Honestly they are probably the worst designed boots I've ever seen when it comes to support. Now some of the re-designs seem a little better... but if you have any sort of ankle trouble stay the hell away from them and get some thing stiffer as it will support your ankles better. Put it this way: If the boot stands up when it's off your foot... it's good for you....If the boot falls over while the tread is still flat on the floor...BAD!!!!!

lace string, all the same thing just differant names, like gun, marker, "muppet mower", "gat" (which is really a 30's term for a hand gun), etc
